Prevention is at the heart of everything we do.

The Mount Dental Practice is a newly built state-of-the art building with eleven surgeries, study room, excellent staff and supporting office facilities.

All surgeries are installed with the Italian designed Castellini Integrated Dental Systems and Tavon Dental Furniture, which are of the highest standard in dental equipment and technology.

Castellini equipment exceeds the legal requirements of most countries and has been awarded many international quality certificates. The practice is fully computerised and paperless, using the latest SOE software, have digital x-rays, OPG facilities, intra-oral cameras and every gadget that you read about but are not allowed to use at Dental school!

The focus within the Mount is on delivering high quality, clinically appropriate, preventative, routine and complex care. We have piloted a fluoride programme, working closely with the local schools. Due to our multi-disciplined, team approach, we bring classes of children into the practice and provide a lesson on preventative oral healthcare, followed by an examination and application of fluoride varnish/sealants. Every child is given written instructions to take home. The ethos of the Mount is to reduce the DMFT of the area and improve the overall dental health of the local communities through a programme of education and implementation.

The practice is a member of the BDA Good Practice scheme and is fully up to date with cross infection control procedures and CPD of all staff.

One of our dentists specialises in Oral Surgery; we also have a link with Trinity House Orthodontics in Wakefield and Barnsley and orthodontic treatment is carried out at 2 of our practices by a Specialist Orthodontist.

The Mount's official opening was on 7th May 2008 by Chief Dental Officer for England, Barry Cockcroft. The practice has gone from strength to strength since that date and The Mount has acquired four other practices in and around the Hemsworth district.
