It is time to stop hiding your smile behind your hands and start hiding those flaws, instead. Dental veneers could be your key to uncovering the glowing natural charm in your smile you forgot was there.
Veneers are thin shells made of porcelain which cover cosmetic imperfections on front teeth. Each veneer is custom-designed to fit an individual tooth. Unlike dental crowns, veneers do not cover and protect the entire tooth. They simply create a ‘false front’ to make your smile look naturally flawless.
Veneers can mask a whole range of cosmetic dental issues including:
This is how we place veneers at The Mount:
Assess the cosmetic needs of your smile and create a bespoke treatment plan.
Prepare the teeth that will be receiving veneers. Your dentist does this by buffing away a thin layer of enamel from the front of the teeth that will be getting veneers. This is a painless process.
Take impressions of your teeth. Your dentist will take moulds of your teeth which will be used as casts to design your veneers. You will go home with temporary veneers to protect your teeth, meanwhile.
Come back to our practice after your veneers are finished so you can see how they look. Your dentist will then bond them in place.
We have chosen to use eMax veneers which are made from a special kind of porcelain called lithium disilicate. In comparison with regular porcelain, lithium disilicate is thinner and more translucent, although just as strong.
This enables us to create lightweight veneers that look and feel natural while retaining their ability to conceal imperfections. Thinner veneers also mean that we can leave plenty of your natural tooth enamel intact.
At The Mount, we offer beautiful porcelain veneers at each of our locations:
By covering up unsightly spots with veneers, you could feel more confident in your smile. Learn more about the power of porcelain dental veneers by scheduling a free remote smile makeover consultation with our treatment coordinator.

Crowns and veneers have different functions. A dental crown covers the entire portion of your tooth that is visible above the gums. Crowns are much thicker than veneers and are designed to withstand the force of your bite. Although crowns can have cosmetic appeal, veneers are strictly cosmetic in nature and do not lend any structural support to your tooth.
Dental veneers are permanent in the sense that once you get them, you will always need to wear them. Once your teeth are prepared for veneers, they will always need to have the protection that either a dental crown or veneer provides. If a dental veneer falls off or breaks, it will need to be replaced. By taking good care of your veneers, you can make sure they stay with you for many years.
No one will know unless you tell them! The beauty of veneers is that they look so natural, no one would ever know unless you told them.
Teeth bleaching can work very well to lighten and brighten the smile. But some stains may be located too deep inside the tooth for whitening agents to access. Those deep stains can only be covered up, not bleached away. You will have to speak with a dentist to find out which treatment will get you the results you want.
It will not hurt, at all. When the dentist prepares your teeth, he or she may administer a little local anaesthesia to numb the tooth. Very little tooth enamel is removed, however. After your new veneers are in place, your teeth will feel normal, but look much better.
Great experience here today. Never been before but was referred in for a wisdom tooth extraction by my dentist. Everyone I spoke to was so friendly and professional from the reception team to the lady who did my X-ray and then Dr Sah. Ultimately did not have the tooth out as it was not considered necessary but a wonderful team so don’t worry if you need treatment here. You are in good hands. Thank you all guys!
