Would you like to straighten your teeth discreetly without letting anyone know you are wearing an orthodontic appliance?
That is exactly what treatment in clear aligners can do for you.
Here at The Mount Dental Practice, we work with Trinity House Orthodontics to offer several clear aligner options for you to choose from.
Clear aligners look similar to gum shields. They are custom-fit to your teeth and they gently press on them to move them into better alignment. After your teeth have shifted enough to fit the alignment of your current set of aligners, it will be time to move to the next set. It typically takes about two weeks for your teeth to move before you can switch to the next set of aligners.
The length and cost of your treatment depend on how many sets of clear aligners it takes to correct your bite. The number of aligners varies from person to person, but when we evaluate your teeth and create a treatment plan, we will provide you with an estimate.
We recommend you wear your aligners for a minimum of 20 hours each day so that they can have the best effect. This means that you will wear them both day and night and only take them out to eat and to clean your teeth.
Team leader and proprietor of Trinity House Orthodontics, Dr Dirk Schuth is our specialist orthodontist.
With extensive experience in orthodontic treatments, Dirk and his team have successfully transformed over 30,000 smiles in the past 25 years.

No one ever has to know that you are straightening your teeth.
Because your aligners are removable, it is easy to clean them and to clean your teeth.
At The Mount, we offer remote treatment monitoring for clear aligner treatment. We can check your teeth via a smartphone app and we can spare you a trip to our practice.
Taking out your aligners for each meal allows you to eat anything you want without worrying that you will damage your orthodontic appliance.
Clear aligners are made of a smooth and flexible plastic material with no sharp metal bits.
Working with Trinity House Orthodontics, we offer multiple clear aligner solutions at our speciality dental practice:
Please see our Invisalign® page for more information on this popular brand of clear aligners.
Are you interested in clear aligner treatment? Our doctors will evaluate your bite and recommend the clear aligner system that he believes will help you get the results you want. We will use the latest orthodontic technology to plan your treatment. Our technology includes an intraoral scanner to take digital impressions of your teeth, and software for remotely monitoring your treatment.
After we have developed and discussed your treatment plan, we will either design your clear aligners here in our on-site lab, or send your treatment plan to the Invisalign® or SureSmile® company for them to create your aligners. Once your aligners are ready, we will give them to you and show you how to wear them and care for them.
Are you ready to begin your clear aligner treatment? Get started by requesting a free remote consultation online. Clear aligners can work for kids just as well as adults. If you are wondering whether aligners are right for your child, schedule a consultation with an orthodontic dentist for advice.
Rinse off your clear aligners every time you take them out of your mouth to clean off dental plaque and debris. Give your aligners a thorough cleaning at least once per day with one of the following methods:
Do not use any abrasive substances (like baking soda or toothpaste) to clean your aligners. If you need to scrub your aligners to remove debris, use a soft toothbrush.
Clear aligners are made from a thermoplastic resin material. This means that they are shaped under heat and have both flexible and firm properties. The material we use to make your clear aligners here at The Mount is safe for use as an orthodontic appliance.
One of the benefits of clear aligners is that they do not restrict your diet. You can eat anything you want, as long as you have removed your aligners. You cannot eat or drink anything other than plain water while wearing your clear aligners, however. Pigments in food can discolour your aligners, and food debris that gets trapped beneath your aligners can promote tooth decay.
Yes, you can wear clear aligners if you used to wear braces and your teeth have relapsed since you finished orthodontic treatment. Clear aligners are a popular treatment choice for many adults who wore braces when they were younger and now want to correct teeth that have drifted out of place.
Both my children have had braces from here, the results have been amazing and the service fantastic, Thankyou.
